Privacy requests (GDPR)
How customer data requests and erasure requests from Shopify are handled.
Marginful subscribes to Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. When one of your customers makes a request to you through Shopify, it reaches Marginful automatically.
| Request | What Marginful does |
|---|---|
| Customer data request | Compiles what it holds about the customer: display name, email hash, country and order references |
| Customer erasure | Deletes the customer record, detaches their orders, erases line-item details and any pixel events tied to them |
| Shop erasure | Deletes all data for the shop. Shopify sends it 48 hours after you uninstall |
Each request is recorded in your audit log.
Customers should contact the store they bought from. Merchants can contact Marginful. We respond within 30 days.
