Read-only access
Marginful reads your store and connected services and never writes to them.
Marginful is read-only. It never creates, edits or deletes products, prices, inventory, orders, customers, discounts or refunds in your store.
- Shopify: only read scopes are requested. See Shopify.
- Ad platforms, payment providers, fulfillment and accounting: Marginful reads reports and transactions only.
- Advisor and Marginful AI suggest actions with links. They never make changes for you.
- API and MCP access is read-only too.
The only thing Marginful creates in Shopify is your app subscription, and only after you approve it.
