Profit metric
Gross profit
Net revenue minus the cost of the products you sold.
Net revenue minus the cost of the products you sold.
Gross profit = Net revenue − COGS
Example
Net revenue $10,000 − COGS $4,000 = gross profit $6,000.
How it is calculated
- COGS includes the RX lens cost for stores with the Optical pack.
- Products without a cost on file add nothing to COGS, so gross profit is overstated until you add the cost. See missing product costs.
